Two quick notes:
I have been invited to join Rick Adams and Kevin Amos on their weekly radio program, "Ebony Spectrum" this evening to talk about Race Street. The program airs at 6 pm on WRCT, 88.3 FM. You can also listen live online by selecting a streaming option at the upper right of the station's Internet home page.
Immediately following "Ebony Spectrum," at 7 pm, the Save Race Street Committee will host a community meeting at Baptist Temple Church for residents of the street. This meeting is a followup to our November 9, 2011 community meeting, where we asked people to envision answers to the question, "In the year 2020, what does Race Street look like?" Earlier this year, staffers at the Urban Redevelopment Authority took our answers and created a planning document based on what we said. In this meeting, we will share that document with neighbors and talk about how to move forward.
