In the midst of the hottest month on record, the air conditioning at the Homewood Carnegie Library stopped working and remained broken for three weeks, a stiuation that led to decreased use of the branch and increased discomfort by those who did use it.
The Post-Gazette ran a story about the matter yesterday, but by the time some folks read it, the problem was corrected, because yesterday was when the air conditioning came back on.
So if you've been avoiding the library because it had become just another hot, muggy place during these hot, muggy days, avoid no more - go and enjoy.
