This week's edition of "Pittsburgh Profiles," Elaine Effort's weekly program on KQV Radio, features the Save Race Street Committee.
Ms. Effort interviewed residents and G-TECH staffers on June 2, as we worked to create a raised flower bed at 7427 Race Street. She also spoke with me that evening at the Young Preservationists Association 10th anniversary celebration, where I accepted an award on behalf of the Committee, naming Race Street one of the "Top Ten Best Preservation Opportunties in the Pittsburgh Area."
"Pittsburgh Profiles" airs at 5:30 pm today and tomorrow on KQV AM 1410.

Me, speaking for the Committee in accepting the YPA award. The three women at the right are SRSC members (l-r) Dorothy White-Sparrow, Carlotta Black, and my wife Janet.
