Born Patrick Henry Wade in 1935, Adam Wade worked as a lab assistant with Dr. Jonas Salk before pursuing his dream as a singer, landing his first recording contract in 1959 with Coed Records. He had his first hit with "Ruby," released in 1960, and in 1961 had three songs in Billboard's Top Ten. In 1975, he became the first African-American to host a television game show, CBS' "Musical Chairs." His career also includes extensive work as an actor in TV and films. He and his wife Jeree Wade, also an entertainer, have a music production firm and  live in New Jersey. To learn more about Mr. Wade, visit his personal website. YouTube also has a video mix of his hits.
